Lost Classic is all about finding gems, reimagining sounds, and bringing that feeling back…so excuse me if the execution seems a little bit ignorant.
I get it. We hold classic songs near and dear to our hearts and if it’s not the way we know them to be when we have them on repeat in the house or the car, you can keep it.
My thing is—I’m only practicing the effects with my SP-404 SX. I could use my own beats. I have a bunch of them on spenceishard.com but I feel like i’d be missing out on an opportunity to introduce this to new audiences through my content and connect with people who actually get the vibe of the SP-404 SX as it pertains to these classic songs.
I’ve noticed the further back in time I go, the more hate I get. Of course there’s every now and then where I’ll do a mix over a song by a coveted lyrical rapper that people may not think is the best but again: I’m practicing.
It’s not like the song changes on streaming the moment I create one of these SP-JAMZ. They’re short clips intended to remind you how much you love the classic tracks, not something that’s meant to replace the way you’ve already grown to love the song.
