Sometimes I turn the microphone on to get some background noise off of my mind, kind of like Dumbledore uses the pensieve to free up mental bandwidth. I don’t consider this anywhere near my best work; in fact I think this is almost lazy writing and I likely won’t finish this song past this point as I’m giving it to you now. With that being said, I’m trying to get out of the habit of finishing songs and just keeping them on my hard drive. I believe I was testing my microphone in an untreated room here; if I had to guess I recorded this with an SM58. Definitely punched in.
