Voice Trans isn’t trash… you just gotta know how to use it.
Since really experimenting with the SP-404SX’s voice trans effect, I’ve found that when you use it excessively, it can be annoying.
However, the key is to use it sparingly and just the right moments of your track. Less is definitely more with this, and I think that’s what people get wrong about it at first.
It’s super cool and convenient being able to have an Alvin and the Chipmunks voice transformer at your fingertips, although the effect is not without its flaws and can fill out the instrumental behind the voice.
Ensure sometimes you won’t use the effect on a voice, and you will use it for the instrumental itself, but the same rule applies.
Less is more.
